Why We MUST Act to Secure Our Freedom

We can’t let our guard down for a second until the demise of the dark is declared and final. Now is the time for ACTION—unless you don’t mind losing your privacy and your Internet. That’s not all; their fingers are headed for your wallet!

Read about their plans for us below…

Another Reason for FREEDOM!

Posted on 11/26/2012

If you don’t think that China, Iran, Russia, or other dictatorial regimes will push their current domestic Internet content controls on the world’s Internet, think again. A United Nations-run global Internet scheme – complete with surveillance and all – will represent the biggest bully nations on the block, and force the world to comply with their policies. In other words, communist China or radical Islamists will have a say in what Americans view on the Internet … in America.

Dear Conservative,

The Internet as we know it is under attack.

That’s right; the digital world that allows the free-flow of information and communication is in jeopardy of being placed under the control of the biggest of big governments – the United Nations.

Right now, the United Nations is working hard to establish global internet controls – controls that would give them an Internet “Kill Switch” which would enable them to completely shut down the Internet altogether!

Take Action and FAX CONGRESS – Tell them to REFUSE the United Nations’ Internet Power-Grab and Defend Internet Freedom for Americans.

Earlier this month, the United Nations held their Internet Governance Forum in Azerbaijan – a nation whose government is known to be hostile towards free speech – under the humanitarian-sounding name “Internet Governance for Sustainable Human, Economic, and Social Development.” Though this meeting was largely symbolic, and no binding decisions were made, the participating leaders used it to prepare for a much more dangerous meeting that is scheduled for December in Dubai.

Next month, at the “World Conference on International Telecommunications”, a tiny and generally-unknown UN agency will focus its efforts on destroying what you and I call free speech. The agency, the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), will focus on passing resolutions to “reform” – in other words, regulate – the currently free and open Internet.

The ITU’s program of reforms, which was drafted in secret and made available only two weeks ago, outlines its plan to curb free speech world-wide and implement regulations that will affect email, personal blogs, social networks, and person-to-person calling programs, like Skype. Further, the proposed reforms would not only imperil all Internet user’s speech content – from email correspondences to political or religious writings on one’s personal blog – but will come with a price-tag: under the UN’s plan, there is wide-space for mega-corporations to lobby the United Nations to end free online accounts, like email. In other words, the UN’s plan for reforms will open the doors wide for mega-corporations to create data monopolies! (Remember, monopoly doesn’t exist – like the liberal schoolteachers tell us – in the absence of government, but are propped-up by government regulation.)

The United Nations wants to control the Internet completely! So much that they want a “Kill Switch” to shut down parts or even the entire Internet at their whim.

Australia’s Herald Sun states:

“[I]f accepted, the changes would allow government restriction or blocking of information disseminated via the Internet and create a global regime of monitoring internet communications – including the demand that those who send and receive information identify themselves.”

“It would also allow [UN member] governments to shut down the Internet if there is the belief that it may interfere in the internal affairs of other states or that information of a sensitive nature might be shared.”

The United Nation’s must not be granted any power making them the sole arbiter of the Internet! The United States must not support them in their tyrannical efforts to control the Internet for the “benefit” of mankind!

Take Action and FAX CONGRESS – Tell them to REFUSE the United Nations’ Internet Power-Grab. The Federal Government should not enter into any “Telecommunications Reform” Treaty with the United Nations ever.

If the United Nations succeeds not only will be paying for things like email accounts and lose 100% anonymity online, we will also be subject content controls.

If the United Nations becomes the gatekeeper of the world’s internet content, we can be absolutely sure that there will be major lobbying efforts on the behalves of dictators of all shapes and sizes – “mega-corporations as well as a motley assortment of African despots, Islamist tyrants, communist autocracies, and even socialistic powers such as the governments ruling Brazil and India” will be bent on seeking internet policy control. (American Spectator)

The United Nation’s December power-grab must not be supported by our Government – America must not comply!

We must demand our Congresspersons to reject any and all United Nations Internet treaties this December, or at any point!

Take Action and FAX CONGRESS – Tell them to REFUSE the United Nations’ Internet Power-Grab. The Federal Government should not enter into any “Telecommunications Reform” Treaty with the United Nations.

Though Freedom of Speech is a lawful fact in this country, it doesn’t mean that domestic opponents of freedom will not exert themselves to destroy it. The fact is: they already are!

Earlier this year Conservative Action Alerts reported on the dangerous “Cybersecurity” legislation proposed by Sens. Harry Reid and Joseph Lieberman. Though the bad legislation ultimately failed, after having met the American People’s outrage, Harry Reid has said that it remains on his agenda.

Barack Obama has also accomplished his own type of back-door “cybersecurity” through yet another executive order, one that he signed quietly in mid-October when so many were focused on the election. Obama’s most recent executive order – which we warned about – creates “a broad and strict set of standards to guide the operations of federal agencies in confronting threats in cyberspace.”

Further, the Obama Administration – though they claim to stand from freedom – has stood by the United Nations’ efforts to control the internet. This shouldn’t be a surprise, however. Because Obama still doesn’t have access to an Internet “Kill Switch” which the UN plan would provide him.

Neither Barack Obama nor the United Nations has the right to curb our God-given right of speech by shutting down or regulating the free and open internet!

We must take action and make our Congress aware of our opinions on this – THAT “WE DO NOT WANT THE UNITED NATIONS IN CONTROL OF OUR INTERNET!”

Take Action and FAX CONGRESS – Tell them to REFUSE the United Nations’ Internet Power-Grab. The Federal Government should not enter into any “Telecommunications Reform” Treaty with the United Nations.

Free Speech and the Free Exchange of Ideas are American Principles; they’re codified in our law so that neither our government or any other government or body like the UN can take our rights!

Now is the time to stand in defense of the free and open internet in the face of Big Government on a global level!

Blogs, emails, and all forms of online speech must be protected – not prohibited by UN and content controls.

Digital privacy must be upheld – not replaced with UN cyber-surveillance.

Individual nations must remain sovereign on all matters of civil liberties, online of off-line – American freedom must never be exchanged for any so-called “standard” from the United Nations!

The United States government must always stand for America First, and refuse all global efforts that would interfere with our laws or way of life. The internet, the “final frontier”, must remain free of government control despite the efforts of the UN’s International Telecommunications Union. As a lasting rule, the United States must always reject United Nations reforms that seek to accomplish global internet control.

We must stand up for internet freedom! We must take action and contact Congress on this matter! Select Here to tell EVERY CONGRESSPERSON to REJECT the United Nations Internet Power-Grab!

The free Internet’s days are numbered, unless we act.
