A subscriber of MrMBB sent in photos of a solid, straight line of cloud over the Netherlands/Holland last week.
If you missed the video MrMBB shared prior, from Google Earth and the International Space Station, no worries. This is a standalone video with all views and concluding with the new footage.
It reminds me of the cloud formation called a “chinook arch” we used to see in Calgary, Alberta Canada quite often. Interestingly enough, I saw one of those here in Arizona the other day and pointed it out to my other half. It’s not something we usually see in the Valley of the Sun, Arizona.
There would be a solid blanket of cloud over the city and as far as the eye could see in three directions, and a thin strip of clear sky in the West like the following picture.
The search for the above shot yielded the one below, also over Calgary, which generally resembles the cloud formation MrMBB shows us which is roughly 2,000 miles long. Quite the anomaly.
There seems to be more bizarre weather than ever before with massive storms and every kind of precipitation known, as MrMBB has documented recently. We don’t usually see mid-thirties F at night late in February, but that’s what we’re getting. Normally we’re heading up to 70-75 at least for daytime temperatures but we’re lucky to hit 60F these days.
With big hail in Saudi Arabia and a twister in Tennessee… there’s no telling what we might see next. ~ BP

My firts reaction here so I just want to let you know that there is some sort of straight long narrow cloud right over Ostend (Belgium). Ist almost faded but its still there. Almost perfectly aligned east-west. Its 5.30 am here right now, so stil dark outside, but rather easy to see. No other clouds, only stars. We have e lot of high altitude airliners crossing the sky here, so I know how a chem or contrail fades and its not like that. I thought about this post and just want to share this with you.
Greetings
Thank you, Sothis. There are a lot of strange things in our skies and we appreciate the share. Eyes to the skies!
Thanks.
a strong frequency is hitting the earth, he says? hmm interesting coming from something from outer space. could it be what are called
high frequency waves from a source to help to lift our own up? the schumann resonance is up to 33 at times.
Curious photos of something in Antarctica and a fascinating video.

The Chinook phenomenon here in Calgary is so common that our city’s budget for snow removal in smaller than many other Canadian cities, because they rely on Chinooks to roll in, increase the temperature by 20°C, and melt the snow. When that doesn’t happen, as has been the case this year, we’re in quite a mess, with rutted, ice-jammed secondary streets, and most residential roads reduced to one-lane. Street parking becomes something to be attempted by truck and SUV drivers only!
It has been quite a winter in much of Canada this year; east and west. My in-laws in Calgary are awakened by their dear next door neighbour at 7 am when he blows the snow off their sidewalk and driveway for them. What can you say? Hope spring arrives soon, Catherine.
