November is about remembering, in more ways than one. Remembrance Day is tomorrow, November 11th. Lest we forget.
What a shock to see colourful Don Cherry and foil Ron McLean still sporting on the air in the Coach’s Corner after all these years.
It seems some are upset about still outspoken Don’s remarks that Canadians (including immigrants) SHOULD be buying and wearing poppies to encourage us to remember and honour the fallen.
We also hope poppies will remind the world that we never want to have another world war, or any war at all.
We’re done with sacrificing Humans for the sadistic whims of the power “elite” psychopaths and their endless efforts to dominate and control. Their conquests have always caused massive bloodshed and that’s of no consequence to them.
See the short video here. I don’t have a problem with Don exercising his right to free speech to make a valid point. Some Canadians are understandably put off by the pro-immigrant policies unfolding in the Great White North which award all manner of rights and privileges to immigrants and non-citizens while stealing them from long-time residents; the real Canadians.
You love our way of life’: Don Cherry criticized for comments on immigrants, poppies
See more on poppies and our reverence for them in Canada here.
Hubby and I recall when we lived in Toronto some low-life attacked a veteran in a wheel chair and stole her donation box for poppies. Does it get any lower than that?
We need to remember our vets, people. It’s the very least we can do. All it takes is a generation or two to forget the past and when history is forgotten the mistakes can be repeated. ~ BP

In the 1990s, Donald J. Trump saved the Veterans Day Parade from financial insolvency by personally covering the shortfall.
The media won’t tell you this, so I figured I would.
God bless our Veterans and our great President!
Another ace up in POTUS sleeve, the deal maker in chief. 😉

Actually Poppies are for Memorial Day for our fallen
Not livingVeterans. Armistice Day now Veterans’ Day acknowledges and honors the living

My city’s still breathing, but barely, it’s true
Through buildings gone missing like teeth
The sidewalks are watching me think about you
Sparkled with broken glass
I’m back with scars to show
Back with the streets I know
Will never take me anywhere but here
The stain in the carpet, this drink in my hand
The strangers whose faces I know
We meet here for our dress rehearsal to say
I wanted it this way
Wait for the year to drown
Spring forward, fall back down
I’m trying not to wonder where you are
All this time
Lingers, undefined
Someone choose
Who’s left and who’s leaving
Memory will rust and erode into lists
Of all that you gave me
A blanket, some matches, this pain in my chest
The best parts of lonely
Duct-tape and soldered wires
New words for old desires
And every birthday card I threw away
I wait in 4/4 time
Count yellow highway lines
That you’re relying on to lead you home
That you’re relying on to lead you home
That you’re relying on to lead you home
Well said and thank you for posting this clip of Don Cherry so proud of him for telling the truth and I’m sure he will be attacked because that’s the norm now it seems in Canada anyways. I live in a military town and all of us wear them as we should. I posted the video.
