The theme for today is “broken”. That includes our “broken theme” here at Starship Earth. We’d best get used to it, because life is very glitchy all of a sudden.

I have countless comments from the crew saying the theme is messed up and the background is so light the text is illegible. The theme is the theme, provided by WordPress. It’s all coded to look a certain way and until two days ago it was fine. Without great expense we can’t modify the code of the theme so that’s not happening.

Now readers are finding it sometimes requires a different browser. Google Chrome is not working well, I hear. Surprise, surprise. I use Mozilla Firefox and it’s fine when I look at it. It’s also fine on my iPad which is the Safari browser.

In my Brave browser it would bring it up perfectly.

WordPress is suddenly pushing advertising I’ve never seen before on the bridge console on SE (and The Captain’s Blog) which had me locked up the other day, unable to get out of their advertising page without clearing the cache/cookies, as I said. It would not let me go to “new post” to create a new blog post.

One crew member wrote the following, and no one else responded in this detail so it was very helpful. Some of you sound like you can’t see any other comments about the problem—but there are so many! I approved them all so y’all could see that you’re not the only one but from the number of responses, it seemed you couldn’t see them. The whole thing is squirrelly, my friends.

Google seems to be screwing with our computers and your web sight. My last comment about the screen colors ect. anyway I looked for other comments and there were none until I put my comment in and then they popped up, all the comments. When I post the comment google window said not a secure site but I got in. Other web sites that are good truth sights like yours [ using Safari ] google window pops up and says not a secure sight and there might be someone trying to steel your info. won’t let me go to it. I have used a different browser and had no problems but had other issues. Never had these problems before on your page BP this is the first in years. The assholes are being assholes. We shall overcome !

Now that’s a warrior’s attitude! So from that it appears someone doesn’t want people visiting our independent news websites and tells them it could be a dangerous place to hang out and their security could be compromised. Interesting.

I don’t know what to tell you, folks. When I hear the above and issues are erratic and not every subscriber is experiencing the same, it’s not our website at fault. Number One made sure of that. I wish I had a magic wand. Because we’re self-funded we don’t have the budget for high security and hacking blocks.

Inconvenience is the order of the day with psychopaths on the loose.

The best I have to offer is, “wait 5 minutes” and it will probably correct itself—with the following caveat: Things that go away by themselves can come back by themselves.

Some have figured out that if they want to read something here they can highlight/select the text to make it legible. Obviously if you really want to read something you can copy and paste it into email, Notepad, or a word processing application and read it there. Clumsy, but it works.

They don’t want us publishing the truth and will try to discourage you from spending time here. This is the nature of the information war.

We’re tearing it up, folks. We’re breaking everything on the planet and rebuilding it. Scott Mowry told us to expect interruptions, inconsistencies, glitches, etc. Some things just aren’t going to work the way they did. It could be bank machines… we don’t know. Expect it.

Yesterday in the middle of a phone call with my mother the line went dead and it took a couple of minutes to call her back because I kept getting “your call cannot be completed as dialled”. Her name was in the display so I know it was the correct number.

I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing here on the bridge, and I hope you will continue to be a member of our esteemed crew. This too, shall pass.

Tomorrow, July 14th, is Bastille Day.

Bastille Day is a holiday celebrating the storming of the Bastille—a military fortress and prison—on July 14, 1789, in a violent uprising that helped usher in the French Revolution. Besides holding gunpowder and other supplies valuable to revolutionaries, the Bastille also symbolized the callous tyranny of the French monarchy, especially King Louis XVI and his queen, Marie Antoinette.

Is that date going to slide by without an appropriate response from the Earth Alliance? I don’t think so.
