I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and we now have a bylaw mandating masks, however if you have a medical condition, you don’t have to wear one. I have 3 respiratory conditions so I can avoid this insanity. However, the one place that mandates I wear a mask regardless is MY FAMILY DOCTOR’S OFFICE. How ridiculous is that? Needless to say, don’t plan on going to the doctor anytime soon.
Also, just read an article in my local newspaper that 50% of federal government workers are being paid to stay home and do nothing. I used to work for them (now retired) and knew they didn’t have the capacity to let everyone work from home, but this is ridiculous. They should’ve been laid off if they’re not working. Now I know why a recent poll in Ottawa said 90% wanted mandatory masks. The longer they can drag this on, the longer those workers can get paid for staying home. Ottawa’s a government town as it is Canada’s capital city, so I don’t expect things to get back to normal here anytime soon.

i went shopping in a large store,,located in a shopping strip,,all entrances face outside,,,on approaching the door i was held back to wear a mask,,i refused and after an argument left,,nowwww,,,,right beside the next door was
a restaurant,,,several people sitting on small round tables having i guess supper,,,can anyone explain the logic in this ?? is that darn C19 choosing to now having supper,,,?? was it hungry or something ?? what am i missing here,, lolololol
It’s a very smart virus, elga. It knows where to go and where not to go; who to infect and who not to infect. It knows to stop within 6 feet of people and then turns around and goes back so as not to infect the next person in line. It will be at all the election polling stations but not at Home Depot.

When Walmart said they would start requiring masks, I knew I would not be shopping there much longer. come to find out, they won’t do anything if you go in without a mask. They can only recommend it for now because the Mayor of the city is not making it a mandatory thing. Imagine that. Costco has been off my list since they required members to wear the stupid things.
Yesterday I went to do my weekly grocery shop at the local Fry’s. Get this, First this store put up the shields at the cash registers, then they decided to create the 6 foot distance tape crap and then they made it so you had one way in and one way out. Yesterday, there was a young kid wearing his designer mask at the front door and told me that I would have to wear a mask to shop in the store. I looked right at him and said “I don’t think so” he tried to insist so I calmly told him that I was not going to wear a mask and that I was going in to buy my groceries. He did not say anything after that. Inside the store it was zombie land. I only saw maybe 3 or 4 others not wearing masks and the ones that were wearing had them pulled down over their noses. This is getting worse by the day it seems. I know Trump and cue have told us this will get worse before it gets better but this insanity is quite wearing on the soul.
I will continue to refuse to consent to this crap and will not wear a mask. I don’t know how far the freaks are going to try and take this here in AZ but I sure as shootin ain’t gojng to marked, tagged and correlled. At some point we all have to stand against this complete insanity.

I think it depends on the precise location in Arizona, Steven, based on the city council decisions. Where I am, a small rural-ish town, Fry’s doesn’t expect us to wear a mask and they haven’t done the “one way in-one out” thing since the very beginning of the lockdown. I was at Ace Hardware and they weren’t wearing masks and we laughed about the toilet paper shortage. We were at a local restaurant/bar on Friday night and almost no one wore a mask. Not the owners and not the servers. It was a real party atmosphere, like people felt they were in “freedom zone” and could escape from the insanity there and just relax. Good for you for refusing to comply.
Some of us have no choice if they have to to make a living. We were told at the hospital we must be masked when we walk in; we get one pass if we forget/lost the mask; the second time we are sent home for the day and suspended 2;
Third time is termination.
I HATE IT
I get a head ache every day 2 hours into my shift; I feel sluggish and slow…
There are so many that drink the koolaid; some are making masks for everyone; others are making masks that matches their scrubs- it makes me want to vomit!
I haven’t worn Makeup or fixed my hair nicely since March for work- i miss looking my best….
