For the dog lovers…
Eli hit the double digits today as he turns 10 months of age. He was a fantastic little hiker yesterday when we entered the pines up north with only one negative incident. Another dog attacked him. You can’t make this up. It looked a lot like this, not more than ten pounds.
A couple with two leashed dogs came down the trail behind us. The young woman asked if she could come and say hello to Eli and moments later her male companion alerted her with “she or he got out” as a tiny black and tan short-haired thing we didn’t know they had, raced over to where we sat on a bench and proceeded to run around Eli in a frenzy, barking and growling and apparently bit him, because the inside of his mouth was bleeding.
The woman finally captured the frantic puppy and asked if Eli was alright. She said the pup was current in all his shots and he was removed while Eli hadn’t reacted at all. That’s the third attack on our gentle Golden in as many months. It seems like ‘they’ are orchestrating these attacks somehow. What other explanation?
Eli is always non-confrontational and suffers no lingering psychological issues as a result of the altercations. He lives in the moment and the past seems forgotten, thankfully. He’s resting comfortably at the moment.
Our little chipper/shredder loves firewood and renders it into kindling and tinder. Dogs with jobs.

Much heartfelt love to Eli and for you for any stress , temporary trauma of your precious baby under attack.
I cannot help it, my love for dogs has caused my already huge Humanitarian healing centers and dog rescue plans to increase with ideas not done before where some may question my sanity.

Hi Edie, I also do animal rescue, mostly cats though, because they are abandoned on the streets at such unprecedented numbers!

Along with rescuing, I also am caretaker to MANY feral/community cat colonies in my community. That’s where a LOT of domestics get dumped. Many get so traumatized, like a form of PTSD, & because of a SEVERE lack of foster’s & availability of intakes at No-Kill Shelter’s, (or trying to find homes myself), Too Many remain on the streets. The longer they remain on the streets, the more of a feral nature “fight or flight”, they Must take on in order to survive. This then makes it even harder to find foster’s because they Need a Lot of understanding & TLC to help bring them around.

Too Many times people, even rescue people, think that if they cower, or hiss, or go to swipe, that they’re “absolutely feral”, and should remain on the streets. They are usually just Really Scared! After being a life long rescuer, & also going on 20+ yrs specifically helping feral/community cats, I KNOW that that truly is NOT the case; if given time to decompress, undconditional love & TLC, they heal, & become a wonderful fur-family member. Sadly, So Many Never get that chance. And I won’t even go into the HATRED of people towards them, & us, their dedicated caretaker’s.

The amount of abandoned cats just in my town alone, is pretty unbelievable, I can seemingly Never get ahead of it! And yes, I humanely trap, spay & neuter them, & then care for them daily with food/water/appropriate shelters.

Finding excellent homes is hard enough, but now with SO Many getting the Bio-Weapon 💉, I am really concerned about adopting out! Not to mention the shedding of the 💉 from people to pets, that we really have no idea how that is affecting them! As you are well aware, people are, & will continue to be dropping like flies! Many peoples families unfortunately do NOT take on other family members pets if they pass away. So going forward, this is going to become a Really Big Problem for rescuer’s & shelters alike.

I wish that we like-minded individual’s could brainstorm & get some kind of data base together for enlightened & un-jabbed people that are animal lovers to find these fur-babies foster’s, as well as their fur-ever homes! There are just So Many animals in Great Need!
