Thank you everyone for the support, advice, and loving prayers for the dear pup, Chinook.
Unfortunately, the vets were not informed of the wisdom you had to impart and his red blood count went so low they don’t know how to help so Chinook is making his journey over the rainbow bridge this morning after his family says their goodbyes.
I just got word that he has departed as I write this and I feel almost as much grief as when Mica passed. Be assured, though, that your beautiful messages made it to both the family and to Chinook and his “sister” pup Elle and they made more difference than you could know.
I read somewhere that around 500,000 souls would be leaving at this time so it will be difficult for those remaining. As we know, dogs don’t have souls; they ARE souls.
I never got to meet Chinook as he lived in Iowa, but my other half did and said he was an awesome dog, a Tibetan Mastiff. I hope to meet him sometime.
I don’t plan on doing a post today but wanted to respond to everyone who is holding Chinook in their heart today.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts as Chinook begins the next phase of his evolution and takes on his next task for Humanity. He looks almost Human, doesn’t he?

Here’s a more recent pic. He was 78 lb, only 8 mos. old when he left this realm. It’s really a shame because he had an awesome life in the country and a sister who loved him.

And that concludes our tribute to a special soul who left too soon but will be remembered by many. Thank you again for the comfort you showered on this dog-loving family which has rescued quite a few.ย ~ BP

Rest in Peace dearest Chinook๐๐
Is the family suing the vet who vaccinated Chinook?
Since I have always had to sign a waiver I doubt if there are grounds to sue. Medical staff never take responsibility for their actions.
My heart just sunk reading of this sweet doggie sadly passing away! ๐ข
.
I’m a little behind reading your newsletter’s, so just found out.
.
Sending love & prayer’s to the family. I can only imagine how DEVESTATED they all are! ๐๐๐๐๏ธ
I pray the family will stop ALL ๐ going forward.
Please, when the timing is right, recommend they follow Dr. Karen Becker DVM Holistic Veterinarian. She has excellent articles & video’s on every topic imaginable for pets. Dr. Becker also formulates all of the pet food/treats/supplements for Dr.Mercola’s brand.
She is a wealth of information!
Thank you, Cheryl.
I’m sorry, I forgot to mention in my original post that they can probably sue the Pharmaceutical Co; You are correct that you can’t sue the Vet.
.
It obviously will Not bring back their beloved Chinook, but there needs to be some justice for him! And hopefully they will share their Tragic experience with the public & hopefully save some other lives going forward.
Had a few dogs, amazing creatures all doggy personalities remembered.
God also love’s his dogs, that is why he only lets us borrow them. When he misses them more than he can bare he calls them home. Thats why everyday is a gift!
Your post re Chinook, touched my heart deeply! And i felt him and sent him love and healing. To now read he has passed makes me very sad, and tearful! Shots!! How do we hold this?!
The outpouring of love for this dog and his family is astounding! Bless your hearts, every one of you divine, concerned fellow humans. This level of love is what humanity is all about. And especially to Chinook’s family whose hearts are aching and missing him so: sending healing energy for your poor broken hearts ๐Treasure the memories.
Chinook is playing in Heaven with all the perfect dog-souls, waiting for the rest of his family to join him…
I am so sorry for your loss…
I have passed your comments on to the family of Chinook, Heidi, and they appreciate them so much. It is a sad day here, too, though.
Thanks for the update. I never know if I should comment on your posts as I believe your are sooooo busy. Your posts are very much looked forward to by me and I appreciate your time to research and sharing.
I think we all welcome the positive contributions from readers, Dianne. It’s a lovely little community and sometimes we say just the right things to each other that make a big difference in someone’s day. Many have said they really needed to hear that special something [to them] that day. I think if we share when we feel moved to do so, it’s the right time.
Thank you for the beautiful post about Chinook. I have loved animals, especially dogs, my entire life. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose one from our daily lives. Even though I am sure we will meet again, there is
such a hole in our hearts when we must bid one goodbye if even if just for the time being. God bless Chinook and all who loved him. May he and his
beautiful family meet again in Godโs special realm.
Bless all the animals and those who love them.
